Why the Syrian Forum?
Everyone has a story. Here is ours.

We are responders and builders, supporting a vibrant civil society and ensuring the recovery and growth of Syrian communities. Our holistic approach to aid and development is a testament to our capability to manage a Social Impact Investment Fund that aims for sustainable, long-term impact.
Impact and Reach:
SFUSA has had a significant impact, managing donations and projects with a cumulative effect of $500 million since its inception. This level of financial management showcases our ability to handle large-scale funds and investments, ensuring that every dollar is accounted for and directed toward creating substantial social impact.
Partnerships and Grant Management:
SFUSA has managed multiple grant programs funded by UN agencies and other international partners. Our experience with these programs demonstrates our proficiency in navigating complex funding mechanisms and our commitment to meeting the rigorous standards of international donors.
Research and Expertise:
Our commitment to understanding and influencing the political economy in Syria is evidenced by the publication of hundreds of reports and research papers, crafted in collaboration with renowned subject experts. This intellectual contribution underscores our in-depth knowledge of the region's socio-economic landscape, which is crucial for any Social Impact Investment Fund.
Recognition and Compliance:
As a recognized tax-exempt organization eligible for Zakat, with a valid Employer ID number, SFUSA operates with the highest level of integrity and public trust. Our adherence to regulatory standards and transparency is unwavering.
Engagement with Global Experts:
While developing IIS, in partnership with Syrian Forum USA, we sought expertise from the Islamic Development Bank, among others, to ensure that best global practices inform our approach. The bank’s extensive experience in development financing has provided us with critical insights into creating sustainable and impactful investment strategies. Their advice has been crucial in shaping our fund to generate financial returns and support the broader social and economic reconstruction efforts in Syria.
A Message from
Ghassan Hitto
CEO of the Syrian Forum
At the Syrian Forum, we firmly believe in a future where our people are not just
beneficiaries of charity but active participants in their own recovery. Invest in Syria
is not just an investment venture; it is an invitation to partake in a movement. A
movement that seeks to transition from short-term relief to long-term
empowerment, from dependency to self-reliance.
Imagine a Syria where investments translate to thriving businesses, bustling
marketplaces, and productive industries. A place where the very individuals who
once faced the desolation of war are now leading their communities towards
prosperity. This is the vision of Invest in Syria.
